We made waves at the Month of the Ocean kick off event in Siargao!

On the first of May, the Ocean Jam 2024: Sing for the Seas was organised by the DENR-Biodiversity Management Bureau and its partners. Themed 𝘋𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱 𝘢 𝘴𝘶𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘪𝘵𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘦 𝘣𝘭𝘶𝘦 𝘦𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘰𝘮𝘺, the music fest featured live performances by local bands, messages of support from leaders, and exhibit booths showcasing the richness of ocean biodiversity and their protection.

The ACB supported this campaign as part of its regional efforts to conserve coastal and marine resources and give importance to this vital ecosystem that binds the region. The ACB’s exhibit and participation were made possible by the United Nations Development Programme and ACB’s new joint initiative, 𝘌𝘧𝘧𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘨𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘕𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬𝘴 𝘰𝘧 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘗𝘳𝘰𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘈𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘓𝘢𝘳𝘨𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘌𝘤𝘰𝘴𝘺𝘴𝘵𝘦𝘮𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘚𝘌𝘈𝘕 𝘙𝘦𝘨𝘪𝘰𝘯 (ASEAN ENMAPS).
