From 17 to 26 May 2024, students were able to explore the diversity of local plants and animals in Singapore through a variety of activities under NParks’ Biodiversity Week for Schools.
Through Green Wave, schools may plant a tree or shrub on 22 May, which is the celebration of International Day of Biological Diversity. Students may also participants in Bioblitz to uncover the wonders of urban biodiversity within their own school environment.
Preschoolers can learn more about the Sungei Buloh Wetland Reserve, one of the ASEAN Heritage Parks, through the interactive activity book, Rey and Kinsley’s Mangrove Adventure, which is accompanied by an animation video and lesson plan.
