Management Effectiveness Tracking Tool (METT) 4 Training for ASEAN Heritage Park Managers

Park managers and staff of ASEAN Heritage Parks (AHPs) in the Philippines convened at the ACB Headquarters for a two-day Management Effectiveness Tracking Tool (METT) 4 Training.

The training, supported by the GIZ Philippines and the Pacific Island Countries through the 𝘐𝘯𝘴𝘡π˜ͺ𝘡𝘢𝘡π˜ͺ𝘰𝘯𝘒𝘭 𝘚𝘡𝘳𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘡𝘩𝘦𝘯π˜ͺ𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘧 𝘡𝘩𝘦 π˜‰π˜ͺ𝘰π˜₯π˜ͺ𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴π˜ͺ𝘡𝘺 𝘚𝘦𝘀𝘡𝘰𝘳 π˜ͺ𝘯 π˜ˆπ˜šπ˜Œπ˜ˆπ˜• (π˜π˜šπ˜‰) 𝘐𝘐 Project, targets to develop the capacities of the park management officials of the Philippine AHPs on the use of the new version of the METT. METT 4 has enhanced metrics, improved user interface, increased flexibility, and is integrated with new technologies such as the Spatial Monitoring and Reporting Tool (SMART) that is widely used to improve the effectiveness of wildlife law enforcement and management.

The training was led by Dr. Petch Manopawitr, a conservation scientist from Thailand who has extensive experience in biodiversity research, protected area management, and conservation science training.
